    Shipment of 50 tonnes of food is sent from the UAE to Zimbabwe

    The UAE has sent a plane carrying 50 tonnes of essential food items to Zimbabwe today in an effort to assist thousands of families and vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly in this country. The plane contained essential food items that will provide food security to thousands of families and vulnerable groups.

    Shipment of 50 tonnes of food is sent from the UAE to ZimbabweAs UAE Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Dr. Jassim Muhammad Al Qasimi stated, “This is an important demonstration of the UAE’s humanitarian role in supporting African countries and alleviating humanitarian crises they face by sending food items to the Republic of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe was one of the first countries to receive medical aid from the UAE to fight COVID-19, where more than 8,000 healthcare workers received assistance to curb the virus’ spread.
